Okay it wasn't quite like that but really, check out the video. Every question Mr. Penashue was asked resulted in the same answer. He is hiding, he is avoiding questions that he knows the answers too.
Peter Penashue's campaign in the last federal election saw him overspend by $4,000, take out a loan for $25,000, and receive cheques with no name and donations from unnamed sources.
Truly disgusting, truly Conservative, truly disturbing...

I'was a bizarre moment that must surely become legend in Canadian political history. Kind of an everlasting and downright hilarious benchmark of The Harper Government and its constantly surprising clown cabinet. Not a high water mark certainly.. but an intriguing look at a caught with his pants down politician, pedantically and pathetically reciting a ludicrous opaque, unaccountable, bad government script from Stephen Harper and I suppose, 'lawyer up' Arthur Hamilton.. who retainer and court fees defending The Harper Coven and assaulting democracy on their behalf must surely have made him a billionaire.
Meanwhile the government can await the next nincompoop or fraudster or fool to distract the national media and the incredibly forgiving and forgetful citizens of Canada. Where on earth was his parliamentary secretary or minder to let him go up in flames like that. Cruelty to a political animal I would say..
I thought his repetition seemed remarkably similar to Kathryn Marshall's stunningly scripted evasion regarding Ethical Oil's mysterious donors. Again and again repeating the mantra about being funded by individual grassroots Canadians.
Penashue is left riding a donkey backwards in public, much as Dean Del Mastro saddled himself up.. We now have Joe Oliver quoted recently on CBC "I personally have not said that this pipeline should go through' .. WHAT ? Being a lawyer he knows that 'implying' or 'inferring' or attacking radicals is not quite coming out and 'saying' Northern Gateway should be built'.
'Family Man' Vic Toews unfortunately has not learned the fine nuance of 'inferring' rather than accusing.. nor has he kept his amorous libido under wraps successfully. Peter Mackay never saw a complete and utter lie he didn't like, Peter Clement can spin, skate and slide like Fantino and Baird tho without the junkyard dog fear factor that they've polished during years in the political trenches and pork barrel troughs.
Well.. Stephen Harper said "You won't recognize Canada when I get through with it" and so of all the Conservatives or Reformers wrapped in Conservative clothing.. he's the one that's stuck to his word.. on that, anyway. His handpicked Cabinet clowns are making sure we know it.. ably assisting him in making us unable to remember the Canada we thought this oil mad loutpack was elected to serve..
Kenney had his fake immigrants scandal and Flaherty will surely get his foot or feet in his smug & sanctimonious mouth. For sure this pair will show us that they too can compete with or exceed the failings or foolishness of their cabinet compadres.. the faux Senators that open a lizard eye here and there.. or the petro posse or the Ethical Oily Gang galumphing loudly about in Ottawalberta .. that mystical place where opaque = transparent, obstruction = accountable, and good government is a laughable myth and smarmy swindle.
Thank you for the startling but amusing 2 minutes Mr. Penashue.. You've refreshed my trust that The Harper majority Government is a complete farce that we can recover from.. while they focus on self destructing.
