Me too, it rocks and gets to the point!
I do think students and teachers in all grades should be able to talk about gays. Heck, we can talk about Black history month, Chinese New Year, Chanukkah, and disabled athletes. Sexual orientation is just another human right like race, ethnicity, religion, and disability.
Reoommended reading: The Sissy Duckling, The Story of Ferdinand, And Tango Makes Three, 10,000 Dresses, Chickerella, Stitches, and My Princess Boy. Note: there are many other books that either directly or indirectly deal with sexual orientation.
