Gay Conservative candidate looses cool at Debate

Conservative Candidate looses his cool...

Xtra West hosts an all candidates meeting on queer issues in Vancouver...

Lorne Mayencourt former provincial Liberal MLA running as a Conservative in Vancouver Centre goes after voters, naming some, attacking others and loses his cool on the issue of strategic voting...

my note: Mayencourt is a gay man that has failed to connect with the queer communities in Vancouver.

How many times do I have to repeat this: Gay and Conservative equals horribly confused. You know all about the gun toting freak who had to quit my riding.

Ricky, thanks for posting that.

Seeing it live as I did, and now on film, it's still chilling . . . .

Bruce, gay and conservative should not go together, however they do in a big way, more than some us like to know.

Bob, its amazing he can even stand in front of a crowd like that and say the things he does. It looks like he won't come close to winning which is a good thing.

He has done enough damage as a member of the provincial Liberal government.

This candidate has more courage and balls to stand up for his beliefs than those hissing people in the audience. The man didn't lose his cool, the audience was rude, and he defended himself with facts. I know facts don't seem to be something left-wing people understand very well, that's why you guys resort to ad hominem attacks. How dare people treat another person such crap who standing up to want to represent the community.

Being conservative and gay does not mean being confused. Judging by the comments on here, "progressive gays" don't seem very interested in diversity at all, only if it conforms with their stereotypes of how homos should be.

I'm conservative and gay because I want more prosperity for everyone, and getting the government out of people's lives.
