From CBC;
Diz Dichmont, a retired commissioner in Carbonear, was one of those who resigned.Provincial Justice Minister Tom Marshall says the government's policy is clear: if a marriage commissioner will not officiate at a same-sex ceremony if asked, he or she must resign.
"But I don't see why there couldn't be two sets of commissioners," she says. "One who'll do same sex, one who won't, and then people can then choose which they want."
